Travel Awards
Description:
CAN TAP TALENT Travel Awards aim to provide Clinical Research Professionals (CRPs), trainees, and patient partners with financial support for travel expenses to attend and participate in clinical research or academic conferences.

The Travel Awards also aim to increase clinical research training and capacity, advance research, enable knowledge translation and contribute to the career development of clinical research professionals and research trainees.

CAN TAP TALENT is pleased to offer up to 20 Travel Awards this cycle for conference participation to enable clinical research professionals, patient partners and trainees to participate in a national or international conference. Candidates who apply are encouraged to provide details on how they plan to participate and present a poster or oral presentation at a conference. Presentations should relate to the applicant's field of research, clinical research quality improvement initiatives, and, for patient partners, their personal experiences and contributions to clinical research.

For more information on the definition of patient partnership, please refer to Patient Partnership on the CIHR website.

Note: CAN TAP TALENT will accept a rolling intake of applicants to meet capacity. This Travel Award is open until funds are fully allocated. The candidate will need to apply for the Travel Award 4 weeks ahead of the conference dates to be eligible for consideration.
